Level 2 Programme Overview

Level 2 coaching is helping you help people change, learn and grow at a deeper level.

In level 2 you will learn theory and techniques that build upon your existing coaching competence, enhancing your ability to be fully present with your client, taking them to deeper levels and bringing about enhanced growth and change.

By the end of Level 2 you have all the training requirements for an ICF PCC application. You will only need to complete your coaching hours.

Level 2 programme runs for 6 months and includes 3 main components:

ICF Accredited Training

With 20 hours of self-directed learning and 2 hours a week of live, experiential training (12 sessions overall) – we value your time and ensure that each hour is well invested.

Live sessions, run by our experienced coaching faculty, are where you come together with your cohort to gain depth of understanding on the key concepts, coaching skills and coaching theory.

Mentor Coaching

10 hours of individual and group mentor coaching – peer and observed virtual coaching in small groups.

This includes the 10 hours of Mentor Coaching required for the ICF credential. The coaching sessions are observed by our experienced faculty, who will provide verbal and written feedback.

Performance Evaluation

At the end of the programme, you will need to submit 1 recording which we listen to and evaluate whether or not you have passed the standard of coaching at an PCC level.

If you do not pass the first time, you can submit another recording for a fee.

You will also submit 2 written assignments.

What to Expect

“We really got to know each other, and we created that very special bond…now we’ve officially finished our classroom training but we’re still doing peer coaching”

– Chen-en Tsaur, Bailey Balfour Alumni

Modules

Each module is a series of online workshops, and supported by pre-work in our easy-to-use learning management system. Attending the workshops alongside your cohort gives you an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the theory and models by putting them into practice in breakout rooms.

Each module builds upon the knowledge acquired in the prior modules, so that you gain confidence as a coach as you move through the programme.

Module 1 - Introduction to Coaching in Depth & Solution Focused
3 live workshops (2 hours per run) | 3 hours self-directed learning – Total length – 9 hours

Coaching at a PCC level requires the coach to further develop their skill. In this module we share the PCC level of coaching and introduce how solution focused coaching can support this.

Module 2 - Neuroscience and Coaching
3 live workshops (2 hours per run) | 3 hours self-directed learning – Total length – 9 hours

Neuroscience provides huge insights into how we as individuals learn, grow and change. We introduce the core concepts which help you as a coach to help your client.

Module 3 - Coaching Frameworks and Theories
3 live workshops (2 hours per run) | 3 hours self-directed learning – Total length – 9 hours

Transactional Analysis and Gestalt are psychological approaches which have easy application in coaching. We introduce each approach and provide practical approaches to working with them at the PCC level.

Module 4 - Coaching for Mindset and Teams
3 live workshops (2 hours per run) | 3 hours self-directed learning – Total length – 9 hours

Clients often come to coaching with mindset or confidence challenges. We equip you to start to support clients to overcome these challenges and to build positive habits. We finish this module with an introduction to coaching teams.

You will be a more confident coach after Level 2

Accelerate your coaching journey with the world’s leading accreditation body.

We want you to focus your energy on coaching skills – not on processes – so we have made the steps to prepare for your ICF accreditation as simple as possible

Bailey Balfour is an ICF-accredited training academy that offers the highest standards of coaching certification programme.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the largest internationally-recognised accreditation body that sets the standard for both coaching educators (us) and coaches (you) through the ICF competencies, ICF definition of coaching, ICF code of ethics and a rigorous assessment process for both education providers and coaches.

Please note – you can attend a full Level 1 and Level 2 combined programme and apply for your ACC with this certification when you have 100 hours. When you have completed your 500 hours you apply to upgrade to PCC.

To be an PCC level Accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation you need to follow these 3 steps:

Attend an ICF accredited level one coaching programme of a minimum of 125 hours including a minimum of 10 hours of mentor coaching .

Our combined programme is 128 hours and includes 32 hours of mentor coaching (on our Level 1 and 2 programmes combined)

Gain 500 hours of coaching experience through coaching others as individuals or in groups. We support you to do this via peer coaching and our business development groups for alumni

Apply to the ICF, upload your coach training certificate, confirm you have 500 hours of experience. When all that is confirmed you do the ICF Credentialing Exam.

We provide the guidance you need to make this process straightforward.

“The Bailey Balfour team were professional, willing to share their experiences and I received valuable, nurturing and insightful feedback all the way through the program. I have also developed some really strong friendships with my classmates and the opportunities to practice in regular weekly mentoring sessions was an invaluable opportunity to practice my skills.”

– Andrew Parker

Founder and Principal Consultant, Wasabi Consulting

‘I really appreciated the programmes’ focus on the development of skills such as self-awareness (during and outside of coaching sessions), presence, active listening, and attentiveness to one’s intuitions.

This is in addition to the basic frameworks, tools, techniques, coaching communication styles and approaches, and ethical considerations that are important to know as a new coach.’

– Samantha Whetstone

Professional Coach, Citrinitas Coaching

“Coaching has been hugely beneficial over my career. The insights, knowledge and skills I have gained as a client and a coach have ignited my courage to change focus and direction twice.

As a client, coaching provided a safe space and a structure to review my career, understand my values, strengths and interests, recognise the size of the gap, and make significant changes to move into more rewarding career and work.

‘All the staff are very respectful and show great communication skills. In the Bailey Balfour Training you not only learn and improve essential skills, but you furthermore connect with other like-minded people. Bailey Balfour offers ethical, respectful quality coaching training!

A factor that especially stood out to me is the amount of experience and wisdom all the Mentor Coaches share with the attending coaches.’
