Managing Your Inner Critic & Building Self-Confidence

‘Managing Your Inner Critic & Building Self-Confidence’  is an experiential group coaching course. By the end, you will be able to manage your inner critic and be equipped with the tools and strategies required to build confidence and support others in the same boat at the workplace and even in life.

Overview

Most of us struggle with confidence, self-doubt, imposter syndrome or a loud inner critic at some point in our lives.

For some of us, this might even be a familiar and recurring challenge we haven’t yet found sustainable solutions for mitigating.. Being affected by negative self-talk can be tiring, since it is human nature to catastrophise and focus disproportionately on our failures and shortcomings.

Even the most outwardly successful and self-assured public figures, such as Ryan Reynolds and Michelle Obama, are not immune to self-esteem issues, and have openly talked about working on them.

We are all in this together, and we don’t have to be trapped in this mental cage of self-doubt – there are tried and tested strategies which we can learn and apply to free ourselves.

Our Managing your Inner Critic & Building Self-Confidence is an experiential group coaching course providing participants with the tools and strategies needed to effectively increase one’s confidence and manage their inner critic.

This course is relevant for anyone struggling with confidence issues in any or all areas of life – be it work or home. Our approach is intuitive and straightforward enough that anyone, even children, can be taught these techniques for managing limiting thoughts.

Because building confidence doesn’t happen overnight and requires revision and repetition, we have incorporated peer coaching and structured exercises both within and between workshops. Our programme also provides a step-by-step approach in a coaching setting, and even experienced coaches can take away a new set of tools for their coaching toolkit.

As this is an experiential programme, participants will work on their own real-life scenarios in a confidential setting, seeking to identify and sustain changes that will serve them in their lives afterwards.

The course includes:

  • An in-depth exploration and application of the Bailey Balfour model of confidence
  • A step-by-step guide to building confidence

Who is the Programme for?

Individuals

Anyone who has ever struggled with confidence – even if only occasionally, can learn our practical approaches, and even go on to support others!

Coaches

Many, many clients will talk about their own struggles with confidence. This programme will equip you with specific tools you can employ  to support your clients in overcoming limiting self-beliefs and to grow in confidence.

Educators and Teachers
Negative thinking and limiting self-belief can hold students back from being at their best. Learning how to help students create an empowering approach to their own thinking can make a difference to their educational outcomes.
Managers and Leaders

Research increasingly shows that leaders who coach help to reduce stress levels, increase retention, and are more effective overall. Learning to support individuals to manage self-doubt and unlock optimal performance supports their growth and organisational outcomes.

Parents and Care-Givers

Many parents don’t know how to react or respond when their children share their worries and thoughts that limit self-belief. Equipping our children with strategies which they can apply throughout their lives is a wonderful gift.
